Where it all began! When we first decided to start our business, a friend graciously allowed us to start with organizing her craft nook in a unique area located underneath the staircase. We had so much fun creating solutions to organize this space that we decided to make it a business.

This space is open to the hallway so we wanted it to be visually appealing for anyone walking past. The existing desk was too deep for the space and the chair was bulky. We repurposed a desk from another part of the house and moved it to this space. The client purchased the IKEA bookcase and clear desk chair. This alone opened up the space so much more and provided loads of storage!

In the nook around the corner, we found a secretary desk on our local Facebook Marketplace that we purchased and converted into an area for the kids to do all their crafting. We added chalkboard paint to the doors and chalkboard contact paper to the writing section of the desk.
Most of the peg board supplies our client already had but just wasn’t using. We found a few additional pieces to add, sorted the like items that we felt would be used most frequently and labeled!
For the space under the stairs we purchased a stepped cube bookcase and a tower bookcase. These fit the space well and allowed for storage of bulk and extra items.

On the opposite side of the bookcases we used paper sorters the client already had but we spray painted them gray to blend into the space better. One of our favorite solutions was the picture wire and clips hanging at the bottom. All scrapbook embellishments and stickers were sorted and placed into ziplock bags and are clipped to the wire. This allows them to see what they have at a glance, take down the bag they need and easily clip it back when done.

We also just love this rolling cart that can be easily moved to either workstation.

Absolutely everything received a label, even the tops of all the drawers.

The gallery wall was something our client already had the makings for, we simply spray painted the frames to match the new decor and selected some of our favorites from the kids’ art collections.
We cannot thank our friend enough for allowing us to start with her home! We had so much fun sorting through all of her craft and office supplies and creating customized solutions for her. After completing this project we knew we were onto something!
